BCRA is awarded $500 grant from Upper Peninsula Power Company on 9/19/17
Upper Peninsula Power Company has awarded a grant of $500 to erect a new Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Repeater in Herman Michigan. (Baraga County)
This grant will ensure that Baraga County Repeater Association can pursue our goals in enhancing the communication gaps that exist in the Western Upper Peninsula, and to provide additional and or back-up communications during power outages or any other regional emergencies.
President Keith Almli said “We would like to thank UPPCO yet again for believing in our variety of projects that will aid emergency communications as well as Amateur radio operations in the area.”
Letters of thanks are encouraged to be sent to news outlets on behalf of BCRA. www.uppco.com
